WorldSkills Russia venue is determined in Ufa
In Ufa, preparations have begun for the site of the Final of the IX National Championship "Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)", which will take place from 21 to 25 July in the traditional face-to-face format. An area of 170 thousand sq. m will be located near "Mega" on Rubezhnaya Street. The project name of the place is the Park of Young Professionals.
"WorldSkills Russia is an important event for the region. We have taken many factors into account in the selection of the site, including logistics. It is planned to install a video surveillance system for effective control of the construction in the online mode", said the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov.
According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of the RB – the Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the RB Rustam Muratov, work on the site began on March 20.
"At the moment, the area is being cleared of snow. To date, about 40% of the area has been removed from the side of the "Decathlon" store. 5 units of equipment, 15-20 people work at the site every day, work is carried out 8-9 hours a day. The construction camp is being guarded", said Rustam Muratov. He added that within 10 days, it is planned to complete the snow removal from the entire site. In the future, the work is planned around the clock.
It is important to note that the created infrastructure of the project – exhibition pavilions and tents, modern professional technical equipment used in competitions – will become part of the "business heritage" of the Republic of Bashkortostan: the equipment will be transferred to colleges and secondary professional institutions, pavilions and tents will be used in various city events. Such events traditionally contribute to the development of cities and tourist infrastructure – destinations.
The mission of WorldSkills Russia is to develop professional competencies, increase the prestige of highly qualified personnel, and demonstrate the importance of competencies for economic growth and personal success.
More than 1,800 competitors will take part in the championship in 2021, of which over 600 are juniors. The expert community will be represented by about 2000 people. The championship will also be joined by representatives from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Competitions will be held in 105 competencies, divided into seven blocks: construction and construction technologies; information and communication technologies; creativity and design; production and engineering technologies; services sector; transport and logistic; education. Competitions among juniors in the WorldSkills Russia Juniors direction are planned for 51 competencies.
The business program of the final is scheduled for July 22-24 in the Congress Hall "Toratau" and will include several thematic tracks. The speakers and moderators will discuss issues of personnel training, interaction with regional coordination centers, the formation of new competencies, a demonstration exam according to WorldSkills Russia standards and other projects of the movement, best regional practices.
The opening ceremony of the championship will take place on July 21, the closing ceremony and awarding of the winners – on July 25. The events are planned to be held in the "Ufa-Arena" ice palace.
Qualifying competitions for participation in the WorldSkills Russia – 2021 national final in 137 competencies will be held in the country's regions from April 1 to April 30, 2021.
