Bashkir producers held a series of online B2B negotiations with the largest oil and gas company in Algeria

A series of online B2B negotiations between Bashkir entrepreneurs and the Algerian state Oil and Gas Company Sonatrach took place from January 18 to 28.

«Back in November 2020, during our traditional online event «Hour with the Trade Representative» in Algeria, we came to an agreement that Bashkir oil and gas companies would directly contact Sonatrach. Such communication is the most effective method of interaction during the period of closed borders», said Margarita Bolycheva, the Chairman of the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The negotiations were conducted both in French with the provision of an interpreter from the Export Support Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan and directly in English, depending on the convenience of communication for Bashkir companies. The entrepreneurs offered such services as processing and interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data for prospecting, exploration, and additional exploration of oil and gas fields; development and production of modern high-quality equipment for strengthening wells; service support of products at the well, as well as the supply of underground equipment, etc. The Algerian side expressed interest in cooperation and is ready to work with Bashkir companies with the help of a local representative. One of the best ways for Bashkir companies to enter the Algerian oil and gas market may be their participation in state tenders.

Nine oil and gas and oilfield Bashkortostan enterprises were attended in B2B negotiations: JSC «The Art Equipment», SPC «GEOSTRA», LLC «OIL TEEM ENGINEERING», SPC «Paker», LLC «Bashneftegasprom», LLC «IDEL NEFTEMASH», LLC «Drilling Innovation», JSC «AK OZNA», LLC «EVNAT». These video meetings with Sonatrach were organized with the assistance of the Russian Trade Mission in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. Such agreements were reached during the online event «Hour with the Trade Representative» in Algeria in November 2020, held by the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities in cooperation with the Export Support Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan. These support measures are implemented in the region within the framework of the national project «International Cooperation and Export».
